La Choc Shop is the story of artisanal craftsmanship born in Lasalle, Quebec. Since 2007, Concept Chocolat has been crafting chocolate for major brands, and wanted to develop one of its own. La Choc Shop changes the game: a brand entirely its own, designed to claim its place on grocery store shelves.

Objective: stepping out of the shadow of private and international brands

The ambition of this mandate was to create a strong, distinctive brand capable of catching the eye at point of sale and positioning itself as a local, premium and indulgent alternative to the other major brands of international players.

The project

The mandate covered the complete development of the trademark, the brand image and the packaging design for a brand-new line of chocolate bars and wafers. Creating a world that doesn’t merely dress the product, but brings it to life with a distinctive personality all its own.

A world of indulgence, full of life

We started from Concept Chocolat’s positioning to build a world that is coherent from end to end, structured around four intentions.

Character. The logo takes the shape of a bitten piece of chocolate, carried by rounded, assertive typography. A silhouette you recognize at first glance, even from a distance, in a grocery aisle.

Indulgence. A palette of vivid colours bursts across every flavour. Each bar has its own chromatic identity, while remaining unmistakably La Choc Shop.

Authenticity. Fruit illustrated on the packaging, the mention “made with real fruit” brought to the forefront. Every detail speaks to the quality of the ingredients and the artisanal craftsmanship behind every bite.

Closeness. By and for people from here, the Quebec roots are owned and put forward, in direct opposition to the high-end international brands that dominate the shelves.

The result

Today, La Choc Shop can proudly take its place on the shelveswith an identity as bold as the chocolate it representsThat’s exactly what we were after.
